Permanent Job Description
As a permanent nanny, your job description will depend on the needs of the family. You can expect to become a very important part of the family’s schedule. Some of the types of activities a nanny is asked to perform include:
- Preparing meals and snacks for the children
- Transporting the children to and from school and activities
- Managing naps and bedtime
- Creating fun projects and games for the children to do while at home
- Helping with homework
- Taking the children on outings to the park, zoo, museums, etc.
- Helping with household chores such as light laundry, tidying up after the children, and family errands
- Accompanying the family on vacations
- Communicating daily with one or two parents regarding their child(ren)'s activities, nutrition, and care
- Keeping up-to-date on childcare practices and techniques
